Daniel Bwala, spokesperson for Atiku Abubakar's presidential campaign in 2023, visited President Bola Tinubu at the State House in Abuja, expressing his commitment to supporting Tinubu's administration. A member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Bwala commended Tinubu's actions, such as addressing alleged infractions by ministers and introducing policies to reduce the cost of governance.
Bwala emphasized his non-partisan stance, stating that his support is based on the merit of policies. He declared his commitment to play a role in supporting the administration and mentioned that his allegiance to President Tinubu transcends political party lines.
In August 2022, Bwala, a legal practitioner, resigned from the All Progressives Congress (APC) over principles and conviction, citing concerns over the choice of a Muslim vice-presidential candidate. He clarified that leaving the APC was not influenced by promises of appointments from Atiku Abubakar.
Bwala recalled past positive experiences with Tinubu, praising him and expressing utmost respect. He affirmed his commitment to refrain from maligning Tinubu's image during the upcoming election, emphasizing the need for collective focus on Nigeria's challenges.
