Argentine and PSG forward Lionel Messi has said Paris Saint-Germain has the team to win the Champions League this season.
The five-time UCL winner and current Balon d'Or holder, Messi, who joined PSG from Barcelona last summer, understands there are expectations for his side to deliver the trophy, but also knows full well how hard it is to lift the Champions League.
Speaking to PSG’s official magazine, Messi said, “Winning the Champions League is difficult. It’s where the best [teams and players] compete; the slightest detail can eliminate you.

Cristiano Ronaldo celebrates 400 million followers on Instagram
Portugal and Manchester United Forward, Cristiano Ronaldo has taken to Instagram to celebrate becoming the first person to reach 400 million followers on Instagram.
The former Real Madrid, Juventus, and Sporting Lisbon superstar wore a Grey Cashmere Dior Jumper in a video he shared on the platform.
Ronaldo currently has 404 million followers on Instagram which is 92 million followers ahead of
the second most-followed person on Instagram, reality TV star, and businesswoman, Kylie Jenner.
In his post, the Manchester United and Portugal superstar said: 'Hi guys, 400 million. Wow, what a number. Now I can say Siuuu!”

Ajax reach settlement with Abdelhak Nouri's family and retire No34 shirt
Eredivisie Champions, Ajax, and the family of former player, Abdhak Nouri, have reached a £6.4m financial settlement after the club accepted responsibility for his severe and permanent brain damage
The brain damage occurred when Nouri collapsed during a pre-season friendly in 2017 against Werder Bremen in Austria.
Ajax had previously admitted that Nouri did not get adequate medical attention after he collapsed and accepted responsibility and on Monday, February 21, the club announced that Nouri's family will get the sum of £6.54million in damages and loss of potential future earnings.
The settlement brought to an end a case Nouri's family began at the Dutch football association's arbitration commission. Ajax has paid medical and other care costs for Nouri since 2017.
Nouri was 20-years-old when the incident happened, and before that, he had made his debut for Ajax in September 2016 and played 15 games for the first team.
The club gave his name to a trophy that is awarded each year to the most talented player at the Ajax academy and the first team retired the No. 34 jersey Nouri wore.
'It is good that an agreement has been reached so that we can conclude this,' Ajax director Edwin van der Sar said.
'We all realize that it does not end the suffering of Abdelhak and his loved ones. It remains a very sad situation, that is how we feel here at Ajax, too.' He added
Jay Jay Okocha reacts to Amuneke's appointment.
Former Nigerian footballer, Jay-Jay Okocha, has shared his thoughts on the appointment of Emmanuel Amuneke, as the new Super Eagles assistant coach.
Okocha believes it is a step in the right direction and the move is important for the development of the Super Eagles. He has also tipped Anuneke to add value to the national team.
Amuneke was named the Chief Coach on the 10th of February 2022 and Augustine Eguavoen’s first assistant, while Salisu Yusuf was named Second Assistant Chief Coach of the Super Eagle.
Joseph Yobo is the Third Assistant, while Aloysius Agu is the Goalkeepers’ Trainer.
“Amuneke’s coming to Eagles coaching crew is a good addition. We all know how qualified he is and the value he’s bringing to the team,” said Okocha.
“He was successful in Tanzania and his inclusion is a positive one for Nigeria. It shows our intentions in getting things right ahead of the playoffs.”
FIFA clear Ademola Lookman for Super Eagles
ILeicester City‘s, Ademola Lookman, is now eligible to play for Nigeria. The forward was cleared by FIFA, and the governing body has granted the winger his switch from England to represent the Super Eagles at the international level.
Despite being born in London, the 24-year-old qualified to represent the Super Eagles through his parents.
Lookman had previously represented England at all grades, except the senior team.
He was part of the European team’s squad that won the 2017 Fifa U20 World Cup staged in South Korea.
In January 2020, Lookman put in place requirements to switch his international commitment to the Super Eagles.
“Lookman has applied for the switch and all the documents are in order,” former technical assistant Tunde Adelakun told media, as per AOI.
“It’s a positive step forward when he made his commitment to Nigeria and we are just waiting for a Fifa clearance.
“Once the go-ahead is sorted, it will be up to coach Gernot Rohr to decide if his club performance would earn him a call-up.
“He’s one of three former England youth players we’ve filed for but they are all aware of the caveat. All the players were told that they can only earn a place in the squad by playing regular club football.”
Lookman can make his Super Eagles debut against Ghana next month.
Egypt beat Cameroon to setup final against Senegal.
Egypt have reached the final of the Africa cup of Nations after defeating Cameroon on penalties.
The pharaohs produced a brilliant defensive performance throughout 120 minutes and Goalkeeper Mohamed Abou Gabal - the backup stopper at the start of the tournament behind Mohamed El Shenawy - was the hero for the Pharaohs as he saved two penalties during the shootout.
Overall, the game between Cameroon and Egypt lacked quality.
The two main threats going into the game massively underperformed in front of goal. Walsh managed only two shots off target, while Cameroon striker Vincent Aboubakar - the current top scorer in the competition with six strikes - was disappointing in front of goal.
Egypt manager Carlos Queiroz injected some life into what had been a tough game to watch when he was sent off for losing his composure over the referee's decisions.
The former Manchester United assistant won't be on the touchline for Sunday's final.
Egypt were the underdogs against Cameroon and will be again when they take on Senegal. The Lions of Teranga have been brilliant defensively, conceding just two goals, with defensive stars Kalidou Koulibaly, Abdou Diallo and Edouard Mendy all impressing.
This would be Egypt's second AFCON final in three tournaments, and one of the big talking points going into the final would be the
mouthwatering clash between two of Africa’s best Forwards;Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane, whose Senegal side made it to the final after beating Burkina Faso on Wednesday.
The final will take place on Sunday at the Olembe Stadium in Yaounde, Cameroon.
Sadio Mane Shines as Senegal go through to AFCON final
After starting the tournament slowly, and progressing from the group with one win and two draws, Senegal has become the first team to qualify for the final of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations following a comfortable 3-1 victory over Burkina Faso.
It was an intense game, with both sides creating plenty of chances, but the pre-tournament favourites always looked like coming out on top.
Senegal had a shout for a penalty wiped off by VAR on the half-hour mark, but the incident still took a toll as Burkina Faso goalkeeper Herve Koffi was forced off with an injury.
They were awarded a penalty deep into first-half stoppage time when Edmond Tapsoba was deemed to have blocked Idrissa Gueye's shot with his hand, but VAR overruled the decision and they went into the break level.
With ten minutes to go, Burkina Faso threatened to make a game of it as Ibrahim Blati Toure kneed the ball into the back of the net, but Senegal ahowed their class to kill off the game and even added a third through Sadio Mane.
For Senegal, it's an opportunity to avenge their defeat in the final of 2019.
Manager Cisse is just the third African to reach back-to-back AFCON finals, and he'll hope to go one step further this time around.
They'll face either Egypt or hosts Cameroon in the final.
Mason Greenwood Released from Manchester United, FIFA
Manchester United striker, Mason Greenwood has been released on bail pending further investigation on suspicion of rape and assault.
On Sunday, January 30, the Manchester United Striker was detained on suspicion of rape and assault after pictures and videos alleging incidents of Violence we're posted on Social Media by his girlfriend
Police were granted extra time on Monday to question Mason Greenwood and he was further arrested on suspicion of sexual assault and attempted murder.
On Wednesday, Greater Manchester Police said Greenwood was released from custody on bail pending further inquiries.
A statement said: "A 20-year-old man arrested (on Sunday 30 January 2022) on suspicion of the rape and assault of a woman has been released on bail pending further investigation".
Between his arrest and release, Greenwood has been suspended from playing or training with Manchester United after the club; On Tuesday night, Manchester United released a statement reiterating their "strong condemnation of violence of any kind.”
The striker was also removed from versions of the FIFA 22 game following his initial arrest after Nike suspended their deal with the player.
A spokesperson from the game's manufacturer Electronic Arts said: "Mason Greenwood has been removed from active squads in FIFA 22 and has also been suspended from appearing in FIFA Ultimate Team (FUT) packs and Ultimate Draft."
An earlier Nike statement read: "We are deeply concerned by the disturbing allegations and will continue to closely monitor the situation."
What Nike did to Greenwood
Manchester United's forward, Greenwood, 20, was arrested following the circulation of distressing pictures and audio on social media, which alleged he attacked his 18-year-old girlfriend, Harriet Robson.
In a now-deleted post, Robson shared photos of injuries she had when the player allegedly forced himself on her.
She had some bruises on her thighs in some of the photos.
In one of the images, blood was seen flowing from her mouth to her chest. Robson also shared an audio message in which she accused Greenwood of being responsible for the wounds.
He was taken in by the Greater Manchester Police over allegations of rape and assault and the Greater Manchester Police released a statement saying a man was arrested on suspicion of rape and assault and was being held in custody for questioning after images and videos were posted by a woman reporting incidents of physical violence.
On Monday the police said detectives were granted "additional time to speak to a man in his 20s".
The issue has made Manchester United suspend the player till further notice as the club demonstrates its opposition to violence.
Greenwood is sponsored by sportswear giants Nike, and they also released a statement to The Athletic, which read: “We are deeply concerned by the disturbing allegations and will continue to closely monitor the situation.”
Since then, Nike has suspended their relationship with the player after his arrest.
The statement read: 'We have suspended our relationship with Mason Greenwood.
