Four individuals, including a woman, have been charged with burglary following a break-in at the mansion of Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak. The incident occurred on April 4th at Isak's residence in Darras Hall, Newcastle, while he was away from home. The burglars stole a large sum of cash and his luxury sports car.
The stolen vehicle was later discovered abandoned three miles away in the remote village of Dissington, according to reports from Mail Online. Additionally, the group is accused of breaking into another home in Sunderland, where designer clothes, jewellery, and cash valued at over £100,000 were stolen.
Further investigations revealed that the suspects are believed to have also burgled a property in Jesmond on March 31st, where more clothes and jewellery were taken. The North East Regional Organised Crime Unit launched an investigation and believes that the three burglaries are linked.
Charged in connection with these offences are Jela Jovanvic, 42, and three men: Valentino Nikolov, 31, Giacomo Nikolov, 27, and Charlie Jovanovic, 23. All four individuals, who had recently travelled to the UK, were scheduled to appear at Bedlington Magistrates' Court on Monday.
Detective Inspector Shaun Fordy, who leads the NEROCU, praised the partnership working and police efforts involved in the case. He emphasized that such crimes will not be tolerated in the region and highlighted the commitment to protecting communities and arresting those responsible under Operation Sentinel, which targets serious and organised crime.
