U.S.-based Australian rapper Iggy Azalea has surprised her fans by revealing that she is discontinuing the album she had been diligently working on, especially alongside Tory Lanez.
In a detailed message to her followers, Iggy clarified that her decision to step back from her next album project was not influenced by any form of bullying or external pressure. Instead, she candidly admitted that her passion for expressing herself through music had diminished, leading to the production being at a standstill for several months with no inclination to complete it.
The rapper had been collaborating with Tory Lanez in the studio throughout 2022. However, their collaboration faced challenges when Lanez was found guilty of shooting Megan Thee Stallion, subsequently receiving a 10-year prison sentence – a development that Iggy did not support.
In the absence of Lanez's involvement, Iggy spent much of 2023 teasing singles that were never released.
