Detective Thaddeus Ep 4. Final saga!

Welcome to the final Episode for chapter 1 of our Crime thriller, detective Thaddeus, Enjoy!

“Hannah, where is my food?” He asked with a bit of anger in his voice.

There is none for you, Tyler, and I did not know you were coming back today. Come to think of it, where have you been?” She responded, now facing him squarely. She has had enough. She was going to confront him today, and that was it.

“That is none of your businesswomen; where is my breakfast.” Now he was angry, the veins on the side of his head were almost popping out, and his eyes widened.

Now the whole atmosphere was tense, the children did not know what to do, they have been in this situation before and most times, what happened was that their mother would back out and just walk away and their dad will keep on shouting. But today it looked as though Hannah was not backing down.

“She should have given you breakfast before sending you home,” Hannah said this quietly and resumed eating her breakfast.

Immediately Tyler walked towards her, grabbed the plate she was eating from, and smashed it on the ground.

“If I am not having breakfast, then you too are not going to have breakfast.” He said.

“Who is she, Tyler?” Hannah kept on asking.

“I don’t know what you are talking about.” He answered, now he was approaching her, backing her into the corner.

“You are not even man enough to admit that you have a woman outside. Coward!” she screamed. The words were still in her mouth when he landed a slap on her face. And she fought back, scratching his face with her fingernails.

As usual, the kids came in to separate them, Thaddeus and Tonya tried holding their father down but could not overpower him. But it gave their mother enough time to get away and now he was furious, he grabbed Thaddeus and slammed him on the refrigerator then he pushed Tonya away and stood up and went after their mother who had succeeded in locking herself up in the room.

He moved angrily towards the room and began banging the door furiously, the door didn’t budge, and she did not open. After a few seconds of banging, he turned and walked out of the house, leaving the front door open, and they were not going to see him again for about a week.

Today was supposed to be an amazing day for Thaddeus, but it has been far from amazing, his day was almost ruined. The excitement he woke up with was gone and replaced with hate, hate for his father for the way he treated all of them. He was bitter and angry, he wanted to do something about the situation, but he did not know what to do. His sister tried to calm him and tell him that everything would be alright; he shrugged her hands off and went away into his room. While he was passing his parent's room, he could hear the muffled sobs of his mother, which broke his heart the more.

He went in, prepared for school silently, and left without saying a word to anybody. On the other hand, his mother called in sick and spent the whole day in her room, crying and wishing she had never gotten married to Tyler. It was hell for her, and she was not willing to let go. She thought he would change, but it looked as if he was only getting worse, now he was cheating on her, and that was the straw that broke the camel’s back. She decided that she was going to end the marriage and get a restraining order.

Thaddeus arrived at school, not in the best of mood. His guys noticed that he was not alright and tried to cheer him up, but it seemed not to work, so they decided to leave him alone.

Thaddeus was all alone and crying in the restroom about the scenes that played out between his mum and Dad he was tired and had had enough of the fights and shouting when Jorge Mendes saw him they were just classmates he walked up to him and offered tissue to wipe his tears and hugged him, Thaddeus found comfort and opened up to Jorge about the incidents, Jorge also told him he was facing something similar at home since that day they became friends.

Jorge Mendes was an A student in Class in High School and maintained that feat in College where he got in through scholarship, always on top in every course, even as an adult now he was upright, diligent and hardworking.

He was like Detective Thaddeus sidekick, his secret formula, the detective just needed to clear his doubts and weigh the results of the tests one final time before an arrest was made.
