Federal Prosecutors Support Findings of Sexual Harassment by Former NY Governor Cuomo

Federal prosecutors have endorsed the findings of the New York attorney general regarding the sexual harassment allegations against former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo.

In a settlement agreement between the federal government and Governor Kathy Hochul's office, the US Attorney's Office criticized Cuomo for allegedly creating a sexually hostile work environment and retaliating against former employees.

The settlement, resulting from a separate federal investigation, found that Cuomo subjected at least thirteen female employees to unwelcome sexual contact, ogling, inappropriate comments, gender-based nicknames, comments on physical appearances, and preferential treatment based on appearance.

While no formal legal charges were filed, the federal settlement aligns with the conclusions of the 2021 report by Attorney General Letitia James, leading to Cuomo's resignation. Cuomo's attorneys deny the allegations, asserting that the federal investigation was politically motivated.
