Actress Uche Ogbodo has voiced her support for embattled movie producer Adanma Luke, following the recent boat mishap that claimed the life of actor Jnr Pope and four others. In a post on her Instagram page, Uche questioned the accusations against Adanma, emphasizing that Adanma did not cause the accident.
Uche acknowledged that while she had seen a video of Adanma in a boat without a life jacket, she argued that Adanma was just a victim of circumstance as the producer of the movie where the accident occurred. Uche described Adanma as a hardworking woman who is also a mother, raising her children as a single parent.
Uche called on Nigerians to show understanding and forgiveness towards Adanma, highlighting that the accident has deeply affected her, preventing her from nurturing her three-month-old baby. She emphasized that Adanma had good intentions when she gave Jnr Pope the job and paid him, and that the tragedy was just an unfortunate accident.
Many Nigerians have called for Adanma's arrest, arguing that she should have provided life jackets for each cast and crew member using the boat. However, Uche pleaded for mercy, urging Nigerians to temper justice with understanding in the face of such a heartbreaking accident.
