John Cena Presents Best Costume Design Award Naked at the Oscars

At the 2024 Academy Awards, John Cena surprised viewers by presenting the Best Costume Design award completely nude. The actor and former wrestler was introduced by host Jimmy Kimmel, who referenced a streaker at a previous Oscars ceremony.

Kimmel and Cena bantered about the idea of Cena streaking, with Cena initially hesitant. However, he eventually emerged on stage, his modesty covered only by the winner's envelope. As clips of the nominees were shown, Cena underwent a quick costume change and returned in a robe to present the award.

Fans reacted on social media, with some shocked by the near-full frontal nudity but appreciative of Cena's commitment to the bit. Meanwhile, Robert Downey Jr., who won Best Supporting Actor for "Oppenheimer," appeared displeased by a joke referencing his past substance abuse issues in Kimmel's opening monologue.

"Poor Things" won the Best Costume Design award, adding to its three wins that night.
