Phil Foden has reassured fans about his injury after sustaining a knock during Manchester City's UEFA Champions League draw with Real Madrid. Foden described the 3-3 draw at the Bernabeu as "a fantastic result" and expressed optimism about his recovery.
The midfielder scored a brilliant goal in the first leg of their quarter-final tie but had to be substituted late in the game following a collision with Eduardo Camavinga. Despite initially being "grumpy" about being taken off, Foden later explained, "I've got a bit of a bad dead leg, but there's a bit of time now to recover, so hopefully I can."
Manchester City initially took the lead in Spain through Bernardo Silva's strike, but Real Madrid turned the score around with a Ruben Dias own goal and a deflected Rodrygo shot. Foden equalized brilliantly in the second half with a curling effort from the edge of the area.
