Kate Abdo Says Jamie Carragher Has Apologized for Awkward Comments

Kate Abdo has revealed that Jamie Carragher has apologized after his awkward comments during CBS Sports' Champions League coverage this week. Abdo, who presents the US coverage of the competition alongside Thierry Henry, Micah Richards, and Carragher, shared the news following an incident during Arsenal's match against Porto.

During the broadcast, Carragher, wearing an Arsenal shirt, jokingly told Abdo and Henry they would have to wear the shirt next. Abdo responded by stating she is 'loyal to Manchester United, thank you very much.' Carragher then made a comment that stunned his co-stars, saying 'not to Malik,' in reference to Abdo's relationship with former heavyweight boxer Malik Scott, who is the current trainer of Deontay Wilder.

Carragher's comments were widely criticized, but Abdo took charge of the situation in a classy manner during the next broadcast. She described her co-hosts as her 'brothers' and highlighted Carragher as 'the big brother we all look up to and aspire to.' Abdo mentioned that Carragher had apologized, acknowledging that his comments had 'gone too far.'

The incident underscored the importance of respectful communication, even in a light-hearted setting, and highlighted the need for sensitivity towards others' personal relationships.
