While targeting Genoa's Radu Dragusin for that position, Postecoglou is also exploring options to strengthen the attacking front. Werner, a 27-year-old former Chelsea player, has emerged as a favorable choice due to his pace, intensity, and suitability for Tottenham's pressing strategy.
The club's captain and top scorer, Son Heung-min, is unavailable due to the Asian Cup, and Alejo Véliz is dealing with a knee injury.
