Gilberto Nogueira, 39, has made headlines after deciding to reconcile with his partner, Daiane dos Santos, 34, who mutilated him by chopping off his penis. The gruesome incident occurred after dos Santos discovered Nogueira had cheated on her with her 15-year-old niece.
Dos Santos planned her revenge meticulously, setting up a supposed intimate night in December 2023. She tied Nogueira's penis with a rubber band and cut it with a razor, later sharing a photo of it on Nogueira's family WhatsApp group and then flushing it down the toilet at their farmhouse in São Paulo.
Despite undergoing multiple operations and awaiting a penile prosthesis, Nogueira has had a change of heart and resumed his relationship with dos Santos. In a recent interview, he expressed regret for his actions, acknowledging that dos Santos did not deserve such betrayal.
Dos Santos, who was facing a 50-year prison sentence for attempted murder, has had her maximum possible sentence reduced to 12 years. Nogueira has offered to cover the cost of her defense and eagerly awaits her release, expressing his love and commitment to her in heartfelt letters.
