Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has advised the Governor of Osun State, Ademola Adeleke, to govern the state as well as he dances. Obasanjo made this statement at the commissioning of the Government House VIP Lodge in Osogbo, the state capital, over the weekend.
In his address, Obasanjo commended Adeleke for his leadership thus far, stating, "What I have heard and seen since three days that I have been here if there is anyone doubting you, bring the person to your state to see for himself or herself." He recalled a previous phone call where he encouraged Adeleke not to stop dancing but added the caveat to ensure he is also working.
Obasanjo praised Adeleke for convening a meeting of leaders from his party, noting the importance of bringing everyone on board for the development of the state. He urged Adeleke to continue his efforts to complete abandoned projects and emphasized the need for honesty and integrity in governance.
The former President concluded by expressing his willingness to collaborate with Adeleke for the progress of Osun State, stating, "Anywhere our path cross, we will dance and rejoice."
