Klopp's Would Be Happy if Egypt Exit AFCON 2023 Early

Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp has expressed that he would be content if Egypt were eliminated in the group stages of the AFCON 2023. Star player Mohamed Salah is participating in the tournament in Ivory Coast, scheduled to begin on January 13. Klopp admitted that he sent Salah and another player, Endo, off without expressing too much hope for success.

He mentioned that, from a personal standpoint, he would be pleased if they exited in the group stage, although he acknowledged the likelihood of Egypt going far in the tournament. Klopp emphasized the importance of the players returning healthy and mentioned the team's ability to find solutions during their absence.

Klopp also addressed the challenge of replacing Salah in the team but expressed confidence in the squad's offensive options. He acknowledged that while no one can replicate Salah's style, the team has different players with unique skills to contribute. Klopp affirmed Liverpool's ability to adapt and find ways to succeed without Salah in the lineup.
