The Kogi State Government has dethroned four traditional rulers, including a first-class traditional ruler, Ohimege Igu of Konto-Nkarfe, and Alhaji Abdulrazaq Koto, who was banished to Rijau Local Government Area of Niger State.

The state governor, Alhaji Yayaha Bello, appointed Alhaji Salihu Seidu to replace the deposed Ohimege and also announced other appointments to address the vacancies created.

The decisions were made after due processes and considerations of traditional and chieftaincy laws, according to the governor's address after a meeting with the state executive committee.
