Mohamed Salah will return to Liverpool for treatment on his hamstring injury, foregoing Egypt's group fixtures in the Africa Cup of Nations.
The Egypt Football Association (EFA) confirmed that Salah would continue his treatment at Liverpool, and while the extent of his recovery remains uncertain, there is hope he could rejoin Egypt in the later stages of the tournament.
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp expressed the plan for Salah's rehabilitation with Liverpool's medical staff. Despite Salah's absence, Liverpool secured a 4-0 win against Bournemouth, extending their lead in the Premier League.
Darwin Núñez and Diogo Jota each scored two goals in the second half, contributing to Liverpool's victory. Klopp praised the performances of Alexis Mac Allister in midfield and Conor Bradley in his Premier League debut at right-back.
