American pop star Taylor Swift has made her debut on the Forbes World’s Billionaires List for the first time in 2024. The 34-year-old singer entered the list with a fortune estimated at $1.1 billion.
Forbes compiled the list using stock prices and exchange rates as of March 8, 2024. Swift's wealth comes from her successful Eras Tour, the value of her music catalogue, and her real estate holdings, which include homes in New York, Beverly Hills, Nashville, and a coastal mansion in Rhode Island.
According to Forbes, Swift is the first musician to achieve billionaire status solely based on her songs and performances. She started her professional songwriting career at the age of 14 and signed with Big Machine Records as a country singer in 2005, releasing six studio albums.
Swift is also one of the world’s best-selling digital artists, with 200 million records sold worldwide. Her entry into the billionaires' club further solidifies her status as one of the most successful and influential musicians of her generation.
