Adele Takes Vocal Rest After Scare During Las Vegas Residency

British singer Adele has announced that she will be taking several days of vocal rest after experiencing a scare during her Las Vegas residency. The singer complained of voice issues, likening her sound to the cartoon villain 'Ursula' from The Little Mermaid.

During a performance at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace, Adele apologized to the audience, admitting concerns about hitting notes due to a chest issue. The 35-year-old singer, known for her powerful voice, mentioned her surgery for polyps in her throat in 2011, which added to her worries.

Adele shared her plans for vocal rest, expressing difficulty in staying silent due to her sociable son and partner, Rich Paul. She humorously mentioned her weekend plans, which included watching Jennifer Lopez's new film This Is Me with her friends, only to find out they had made other plans.

Despite her vocal issues, Adele expressed gratitude for the audience's positive energy, which lifted her mood during the show. She ended the performance by thanking the audience and announcing her intention to go on voice rest immediately.

Adele still has 20 Vegas shows left before heading to Munich for summer stadium gigs. Her vocal rest is crucial for her recovery and to ensure she can continue her performances.
