Taylor Swift's Father Cleared of Assault Charges in Sydney Incident

Australian police have confirmed that Taylor Swift's father, Scott Swift, will not face charges for allegedly assaulting a paparazzi photographer in Sydney last month.

The incident reportedly occurred in late February when photographer Ben McDonald claimed that Scott Swift had assaulted him after Taylor disembarked from a yacht in Sydney Harbor following her final show of the Australia leg of her Eras tour, which has become the highest-grossing tour of all time.

McDonald alleged that one of Swift's security guards forced an umbrella into his face and camera, after which Scott Swift punched him. McDonald described Swift's entourage as "aggressive and unprofessional."

In response to McDonald's claims, a spokesperson for Taylor Swift stated that threats had been made against a member of her staff. The spokesperson explained that two individuals were aggressively approaching Taylor, grabbing at her security personnel, and threatening a female staff member.

Police conducted an investigation into the incident, which took place at Neutral Bay Wharf in Sydney. However, they concluded that "no further police action" would be taken regarding the case involving Scott Swift. Police did not disclose the details of the investigation or specify whether the complaint against Scott Swift had been withdrawn.

According to the New South Wales Police Force spokesperson, "No offenses were detected, and the investigation was concluded with no further police action required."
