Music stars Ashanti and Nelly are reportedly expecting their first child together, as revealed by an exclusive report from Us Weekly on Monday. The news emerged after the couple attended an event in Nelly's hometown of St. Louis over the weekend, where a TMZ video captured them playfully caressing Ashanti's stomach. 

If the rumors are accurate, this would mark Ashanti's first pregnancy and Nelly's third, as he has two adult children from a previous relationship.

While representatives for Ashanti declined to comment on the report, there was no immediate response from Nelly's representatives. The couple, who dated on and off for approximately 11 years before breaking up in 2013, rekindled their relationship earlier this year. 

Nelly addressed the renewed romance in a September interview, attributing their improved connection to time and distance.

Ashanti, who expressed her readiness to "slow down" and start a family in 2022, acknowledged their relationship on Instagram stories. She shared a photo of a clutch featuring an image of her and Nelly, recounting the moment they exchanged numbers at the VMAs in 2003. 

The couple's history and recent public appearances have fueled speculation about the pregnancy, adding a new chapter to their long-standing relationship.
