Sutton Railway Station and surrounding roads shut down following fatal stabbing





A 17-year-old boy was fatally stabbed in Sutton High Street in south London at 7:08 pm on Tuesday, leading to the closure of Sutton Railway Station and several nearby roads.


 The Metropolitan Police reported that the victim, treated at the scene by the London Ambulance Service, succumbed to his injuries. 


Investigations to locate the teenager's next of kin are underway, and no arrests have been made. Both Thameslink and Southern, via social media and their websites, informed the public about the closure of Sutton train station, anticipating disruption throughout the day. An urgent police investigation is ongoing, and road closures remain in effect.
