Atletico Madrid Secures 1-0 Victory Against Granada with Morata's Header

Alvaro Morata's second-half header secured a 1-0 victory for Atletico Madrid against Granada, lifting them to fourth place in LaLiga.

Despite an uninspiring performance, Atletico claimed their first LaLiga away win since October, accumulating 41 points and trailing third-placed Barcelona by three points after 20 games.

The goal came in the 55th minute, when Antoine Griezmann delivered a cross for Morata to head past goalkeeper Augusto Batalla.

The goal was initially ruled offside, but a VAR check confirmed Morata was onside. Saul Niguez also scored a similar goal, disallowed after a VAR review.

Granada contested a potential handball by Jose Maria Gimenez, which was not given as a penalty, adding to the ongoing VAR controversies in LaLiga. Atletico hit the post in the 88th minute but missed opportunities for a more comfortable win.
