AS Roma has officially announced the immediate departure of Jose Mourinho. The club issued a statement confirming that Mourinho and his coaching staff will be leaving the team effective immediately.
Mourinho was appointed as the 60th coach of AS Roma in May 2021. During his tenure, he guided the team to victory in the Conference League in Tirana on May 25, 2022, and to the Europa League final in Budapest last season.
Dan and Ryan Friedkin, on behalf of AS Roma, expressed gratitude to Mourinho for his passion and efforts since joining the club. Despite the positive memories of Mourinho's time at Roma, the decision for an immediate change was deemed in the best interests of the club.
