Sinner Ends Djokovic's Australian Open Dominance, Secures Spot in Final

Italian fourth seed Jannik Sinner ended Novak Djokovic's 33-match winning streak at the Australian Open, defeating the Serbian 6-1, 6-2, 6-7 (6-8), 6-3 in the semi-final.

This loss marked Djokovic's first at the Australian Open since 2018 and halted his quest for an 11th title and a record-extending 25th major.

Sinner, 22, regrouped after losing a match point in the tie-break and will face either Russian third seed Daniil Medvedev or German sixth seed Alexander Zverev in the final.

Djokovic's elimination ensures a new name on the Australian Open men's singles trophy.
