The Al-Nassr forward and former Manchester United star secured the top spot on the charts, attributed to his staggering £175 million-a-year deal with the Saudi Arabian club, along with lucrative sponsorships. According to Sportico's latest list, Ronaldo amassed £218 million ($275 million) in total earnings, including £47 million from endorsements with brands such as Nike, Herbalife, Armani, Tag Heuer, DAZN, PokerStars, and his own brand CR7.
Following closely behind Ronaldo is LIV Golf's Jon Rahm, who earned £144 million ($181 million) last year, boosted by his victory at the 2023 Masters and a lucrative move to the Saudi-funded breakaway league. Lionel Messi secured the third position with total earnings of £100 million over the past year.
