Joe Mazzulla, Boston Celtics Head Coach, Visits Manchester City Football Academy

One of the NBA's top head coaches, Joe Mazzulla of the Boston Celtics, visited the City Football Academy. The Boston Celtics, who have won 17 NBA Finals, the same as the Los Angeles Lakers, are under Mazzulla's leadership.

Mazzulla, a City fan, spent the weekend in Manchester watching the Treble winners play and train. After attending the Chelsea game, he met with coach Pep Guardiola, and the two exchanged jerseys.

During his visit, Mazzulla watched City's preparations for their upcoming Premier League match against Brentford and chatted with the players.

Under Mazzulla's guidance, the Celtics currently lead the Eastern Conference and the Eastern Conference Atlantic Division this season. They also have the best overall record for both defense and offense in the NBA.

Mazzulla achieved a significant milestone recently, earning his 100th win as Celtics coach in just his second year with the team. The Celtics' 136-86 victory over the Brooklyn Nets marked their fifth 50-point win in franchise history and their second this season under Mazzulla. His current record of 100-37 gives him the highest winning percentage (.730) among NBA coaches with 100 wins.

Mazzulla's visit to the UK was brief due to a break in the NBA schedule for the All-Star weekend. City expressed their delight at having him and wished him luck for the remainder of the NBA season.
