The Golden State Warriors suffered a defeat against the LA Clippers on Wednesday night despite holding a lead for most of the game. Warriors' star Steph Curry scored 41 points, but it wasn't enough to overcome the James Harden-led Clippers, who staged an impressive fourth-quarter comeback.
Following the game, Curry spoke with reporters about his long-standing battles with players like Harden, Russell Westbrook, and Paul George, all of whom entered the league around the same time as him.
"It's always special," Curry said. "Me and James were in the same draft... We've had a lot of back-and-forth battles over the years. Russ is in there, PG, we're all still trying to play at a high level... There's a lot of mutual respect. There's also a lot of competition. I hate losing to them, and I think they feel the same way."
Curry likened these matchups to his storied rivalries with LeBron James and Kevin Durant, highlighting the presence of big names in the league who have maintained a high level of play for over a decade.
Despite acknowledging the Clippers' talent and respecting their abilities, Curry expressed his dislike for losing to them. This sentiment is amplified by the Warriors' current position in the standings, where every loss impacts their playoff chances significantly.
