PDP Chairman Kidnapped Last Week, Regains Freedom

 



Philip Aivoji, the Lagos State chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who was abducted by unknown gunmen along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway last week, has been released. Aivoji was abducted on Thursday, January 25, along with other party chieftains while returning from the party's Stakeholders' Zonal Caucus meeting in Ibadan.



The Ogun State Police Command confirmed his release in a statement, stating that Aivoji regained his freedom in the early hours of January 29. He has since been reunited with his family.
