Andy Murray Secures Much-Needed Victory at Miami Open

In a challenging Miami Open first-round match, Britain's Andy Murray defeated former Wimbledon runner-up Matteo Berrettini, who struggled with dizziness during the second set.

Murray, 36, fought back from a set down to win 4-6, 6-3, 6-4, earning only his fourth win in 11 matches this season. The victory was particularly significant for Murray, who plans to retire later this year.

After sealing the win, Murray wrote "life in the old dog yet" on a camera lens, expressing his satisfaction at extending his final appearance in Miami. The former world number one, who turns 37 in May, recently stated that he does not "plan on playing much past the summer."

Murray's next opponent will be Argentine 29th seed Tomas Martin Etcheverry, who defeated him in the Australian Open earlier this year.

Meanwhile, fellow Briton Jack Draper, 22, also advanced to the second round with a confident display against Japan's Taro Daniel. Draper, the British number two, won 6-3, 6-2, and will face Chilean 22nd seed Nicolas Jarry in the next round.

Draper's victory comes as he aims to surpass his previous career-best ranking of 37th in the world and potentially take over the British number one ranking currently held by Cameron Norrie.

The Miami Open continues to be a test of physical and mental endurance, with players like Murray and Draper showcasing their skills in the challenging conditions. Murray's win serves as a morale boost, while Draper's impressive performance highlights his potential for further success in the tournament.
