Actor Jonathan Majors Sued by Ex-Girlfriend Grace Jabbari for Assault, Battery, and Defamation

Jonathan Majors is facing a lawsuit from his ex-girlfriend, Grace Jabbari, who has accused him of assault, battery, and defamation in a newly filed civil suit.

The lawsuit, filed in federal court in the Southern District of New York on Tuesday, March 19, alleges that Majors committed acts of violence against Jabbari in multiple incidents, including one in Manhattan in March 2023, for which Majors was found guilty in a New York criminal court of assault and harassment.

Jabbari also claims that Majors was physically violent towards her in incidents in Los Angeles and London. In the London incident in September 2022, Jabbari alleges that Majors hit her head against a marble floor and strangled her until she struggled to breathe. Despite her head injury, Majors allegedly prevented Jabbari from seeking medical treatment by threatening to harm himself.

The lawsuit further alleges that Majors has defamed Jabbari by publicly questioning her credibility and portraying her as a liar in the aftermath of his arrest and trial.

Majors' lawyer, Priya Chaudhry, stated that they are preparing counterclaims against Jabbari.

In December, Majors was found guilty of two misdemeanor counts of assault and harassment against Jabbari in New York. He is scheduled to be sentenced on April 8.

Following the December verdict, Marvel and Disney announced that Majors would no longer be part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe franchise. Marvel had initially planned to feature Majors in a leading role in an upcoming MCU film.
