Former Chelsea Star Geremi Njitap Seeks Divorce After Discovering Twins Were Not His

Former Chelsea star Geremi Njitap has filed for divorce after discovering that he had raised twins for 12 years who were not his biological children. The 45-year-old footballer had been married to Toukam Fotso Laure Verline for over a decade.

Court documents from Geremi's native Cameroon reveal that Toukam's actions and repeated lies had destroyed the harmony of their marriage. Despite claiming that the twins born in June 2008 were Geremi's, it was later discovered that they were from her previous partner, which led to the breakdown of their relationship.

The couple had decided to marry based on the belief that the twins were Geremi's, but the revelation that they were not his children shattered their marital harmony. Toukam's behavior and dishonesty were cited as reasons for the divorce.

Geremi had a successful football career, making 109 appearances for Chelsea between 2003 and 2007 and scoring four goals. He also played for Real Madrid from 1999 to 2003 and was part of the Cameroon national team that won the African Cup of Nations in 2000 and 2002.
