An unnamed Premier League club has reportedly expressed interest in signing Bayer Leverkusen and Super Eagles striker Victor Boniface. The 23-year-old has made a significant impact in his debut season at Leverkusen, scoring 16 goals in 23 appearances across all competitions under manager Xabi Alonso, with the team currently leading the Bundesliga by 10 points.
According to Sky in Germany, Leverkusen is keen on retaining the Nigerian striker but would be open to negotiations if offers exceeding £47.2 million (€55 million) are tabled this summer. Boniface was signed by Leverkusen from Belgian club Union Saint-Gilloise for a reported fee of £17.2 million (€20 million) in July.
Although Boniface underwent adductor surgery in January and has not played a game in 2024, he has resumed training and is hopeful of returning to action for the first time since December 20.
