UEFA has fined Barcelona 25,000 euros ($26,680) for racist behaviour by their fans during the Champions League quarter-final first leg against Paris Saint-Germain. The punishment comes after two supporters were questioned by police for making monkey noises and Nazi salutes at the Parc des Princes.
In addition to the fine, Barcelona has been banned from selling tickets to their supporters for their next away European game. However, this ban is suspended for a year, meaning it will only be enforced if similar incidents occur within the probationary period.
Barcelona lost the quarter-final tie to PSG 6-4 on aggregate, with PSG winning the second leg 4-1.
