The Jigawa State Police Command has apprehended four notorious thieves involved in point-of-sale (POS) and phone thefts in Kazaure Local Government Area.
The suspects, who admitted to operating for four years, were also engaged in housebreaking and theft, creating fear in the communities of Kanti, Katoge, and Shagari Quarters in Kazaure metropolis. The arrest, conducted by the Kazaure Division, took place on December 15, 2023, following detailed intelligence.
The primary suspect, Najib Murtala, 23, along with three others, was found in possession of a POS machine and two Android handsets. The syndicate, comprising nine individuals, will face prosecution after a thorough investigation.
