Leicester City's return to the Premier League was confirmed on Friday, despite them not playing a match. Leeds United's 4-0 defeat to Queens Park Rangers ensured that Enzo Maresca's side would be back in the top flight next season.
Leeds, needing to avoid defeat to delay Leicester's promotion, suffered a heavy loss at Loftus Road. QPR's Ilias Chair and Lucas Andersen scored early goals, with Lyndon Dykes and Sam Field adding to the scoreline to secure a convincing victory.
Leicester, currently top of the Championship with 44 games played, cannot finish lower than second place. Ipswich Town, also vying for automatic promotion, are just a point behind Leeds with two games in hand.
While an Ipswich win against Hull City wouldn't guarantee promotion, a victory against Coventry City in their following match could see them secure a return to the Premier League after 22 years.
In the relegation battle, QPR have managed to pull themselves clear of danger after a difficult start to the season. Rotherham United are already relegated, but the final two relegation spots are still up for grabs, with Huddersfield Town and Birmingham City currently occupying those places. They face each other in a crucial match at the John Smith's Stadium on Saturday.
