Enugu Rangers Football Club is facing charges for violating the Nigeria Premier Football League Framework & Rules. The alleged breach occurred during their match against Abia Warriors on Sunday, November 25, where some Rangers officials are accused of bringing the game into disrepute through a violent reaction to provocation from the home team, Abia Warriors—a clear act of misconduct according to NPFL rules.
In addition to a fine of N1 million, Rangers has been instructed to identify and present the officials involved in the misconduct for further sanctions. The club has received a warning that a repetition of such misconduct will result in more severe penalties.
The NPFL has stipulated that Rangers has a 48-hour window from the date of the notice to either appeal the sanctions or accept them.
