Amo Farm Sieberer Hatchery and University of Ilorin Collaborate to Advance Poultry Production

Amo Farm Sieberer Hatchery Limited (AFSH), a leading animal protein producer in Nigeria, has entered into a strategic partnership with the University of Ilorin's Faculty of Veterinary Medicine to advance poultry production in the country.

In a collaborative effort to enhance both theoretical and practical knowledge, AFSH is contributing 1,500-day-old chicks to the university. The objective is to provide veterinary students with hands-on exposure to poultry farming and agricultural techniques, reinforcing their academic learning. AFSH's commitment to fostering the development of future agricultural leaders is evident in this initiative, showcasing responsible poultry husbandry practices and promoting knowledge exchange within the agricultural sector.

As part of its support, AFSH has offered to repurchase the fully grown birds at a competitive market price, ensuring both an economic incentive for the university and the sustainability of the project. The poultry organization is also committed to providing technical support throughout the birds' life cycle, offering expertise in nutrition, disease control, and overall poultry well-being.

Highlighting the significance of knowledge sharing, AFSH believes that empowering the veterinary department with practical experience will significantly enhance the effectiveness of the initiative. The company expressed excitement about collaborating with the University of Ilorin on this Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, emphasizing its dedication to responsible and sustainable poultry husbandry that extends beyond business operations to positively impact the communities it serves.

Through this collaboration and educational investment, AFSH aims to contribute to a lasting transformation in the regional agricultural landscape.
