Music producer Dr Roy has refuted claims of calling out popular gospel singer Mercy Chinwo over unpaid royalties. In a video posted on Instagram, Dr Roy clarified that his statements were directed at record label executive Ezekiel ThankGod, known as 'Eezee T' of Eezee T Concept, and not Mercy Chinwo.
Dr Roy explained that he and Mercy Chinwo had faced challenges with Eezee T in the past, but Mercy had been supportive towards him. He highlighted instances where Mercy had helped him, including during his father's illness.
The clarification comes in response to reports that Dr Roy had accused Mercy Chinwo of neglecting him after producing her hit songs, a statement reportedly made during an appearance on the podcast show 'Honest Bunch with Nedu.'
Dr Roy emphasized that he had not made any negative remarks about Mercy Chinwo and expressed gratitude for her support. As of the report, there has been no response from Eezee T regarding Dr Roy's claims.
