Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign's Album Premiere Sparks Controversy in Miami

Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign recently revealed the cover art for their highly anticipated collaborative album, "Vultures." The artwork, shared on Ty's Instagram, features a bird perched on a shovel atop a coffin in a grassy field. The unveiling followed the duo's preview of new music during Art Basel and a performance at Miami's LIV Nightclub.

The album's tracklist was also released, showcasing previously dropped tracks like "Vultures" with Bump J and Lil Durk, as well as the elusive "New Body" featuring Nicki Minaj. The album includes samples like the Backstreet Boys' "Everybody (Backstreet’s Back)" in the track "Everybody."

At the world premiere event called the Vultures Rave, West showcased the album in Wynwood Marketplace, Miami, just a day after a guerrilla-style preview at a Jamaican restaurant. The event, initially promised to start at midnight, faced delays of almost two-and-a-half hours due to technical issues. Fans, both in attendance and online, were treated to around 10 songs from the project, with special appearances from Chris Brown, Offset, Kodak Black, Lil Durk, Bump J, Freddie Gibbs, and even West's daughter North.

The album, set to be released on Friday, features an array of collaborations. Notable moments include North West showcasing her rap skills on "Slide," and Nicki Minaj contributing a verse to the finished version of "New Body." Despite the musical highlights, the event was not without controversy. West, known for his provocative statements, sparked controversy with a line in "Vultures" that garnered criticism for being antisemitic. \

The evening concluded abruptly at 3 a.m., with West repeating the controversial line on the mic as the audience dispersed. The event, while less of a traditional performance, provided a unique showcase for the upcoming album.
