Barcelona's manager, Xavi Hernandez, has confirmed that he will be leaving the club at the end of the current La Liga season.
The announcement followed Barcelona's unexpected 5-3 loss to Villarreal. Xavi expressed that he decided to step down a few days ago, believing that the club needs a change of dynamic.
The decision came after Barcelona's recent struggles, and Xavi mentioned that he didn't want to be a problem for the club. Despite rallying from two goals down, Barcelona suffered a late defeat to Villarreal, further impacting their La Liga title aspirations.
Xavi, a club legend, took over as Barcelona's manager in November 2021, leading the team to a league title in his first full season in charge.
However, recent setbacks and a challenging season led to his decision to depart at the end of the campaign.
