Argentine and Benfica midfielder, Angel Di Maria, has disclosed his choices for the best players he has played with, notably leaving out Cristiano Ronaldo. Di Maria, who is approaching retirement from international football after the Copa America, shared his picks in an interview with MARCA.
For the goalkeeper position, Di Maria chose Emiliano Martinez. In defense, his lineup includes Otamendi and Mascherano as the center-backs, Marcelo as the left back, and Sergio Ramos as the right back. In the midfield, he included himself, Rui Costa, and Neymar.
Interestingly, Di Maria did not include Cristiano Ronaldo in his list of best players, despite their four-year stint together at Real Madrid. He opted for Lionel Messi as his right winger, Kylian Mbappe as his left winger, and Zlatan Ibrahimovic as the striker.
The exclusion of Ronaldo surprised many fans, especially considering the successful partnership they had at Real Madrid, where they won several trophies together.
