American music star Jennifer Lopez recently shared insights into her relationship with actor Ben Affleck, revealing that their 2003 wedding postponement didn't mark the immediate end of their relationship. In an interview with Zane Lowe on Apple Music, Lopez acknowledged that while delaying their wedding hinted at underlying issues, they stayed together afterward, trying to mend their relationship.
She admitted that the wedding delay raised doubts for both of them about the future of their relationship. Despite her desire to be with Affleck forever, Lopez felt uncertain about the longevity of their marriage. She explained that, at the time, they lacked the maturity to sustain their relationship, even though they made multiple efforts to do so. They believed the misconception that relationships end when things become difficult, leading them to separate.
Lopez shared that their time apart allowed them to grow as individuals and find love and start families with other people. This experience helped them realize their feelings for each other and gave them the confidence to rekindle their relationship. They eventually got back together and officially tied the knot in 2022, feeling more secure in their relationship.
