Nigerian LGBTQ Activist Reconciles with Mother After Embracing His Identity

Dan Yomi, a Nigerian LGBTQ activist based in the UK, recently shared his joy over reconciling with his mother, who called to express acceptance of him as a gay man.

Yomi had experienced strained relations with his mother for five years after coming out. He urged parents of queer children to embrace and accept them for who they are. Yomi, once a youth pastor, publicly came out as gay in October 2018.
