Arsenal Come from Behind to Beat Aston Villa in Women's Super League

Arsenal strengthened their pursuit of the Women's Super League title with a comeback victory against Aston Villa at Villa Park. Despite falling behind to Ebony Salmon's first-half goal, Jonas Eidevall's side dominated the match and secured a 3-1 win with second-half goals from Victoria Pelova, Lotte Wubben-Moy, and Stina Blackstenius.

The Gunners' performance was dominant from start to finish, and they could have scored more goals given their 37 attempts on goal, the highest by any team in a single match this season. The victory keeps Arsenal six points behind the top two teams, Chelsea and Manchester City, with only five matches remaining in the season.

The match was delayed by 45 minutes due to traffic disruption, causing Arsenal to arrive late at the ground. This delay was the second consecutive week Arsenal had faced travel issues, as their fixture against Chelsea nine days prior was also delayed due to a sock color clash.

Despite the early setback of falling behind, Arsenal controlled the game against Villa, who struggled to create chances and were limited to just one shot throughout the match. Arsenal's victory showcased their strength and determination as they continue their pursuit of the WSL title.
