Jeff Bezos Reclaims Title of World's Richest Person from Elon Musk

On Monday, Amazon founder Jeff Bezos regained his position as the world's richest person, surpassing Elon Musk on the Bloomberg Billionaires Index. Bezos' net worth is now estimated at $200 billion, exceeding Musk's $198 billion.

Musk, who leads Tesla, X (formerly Twitter), and SpaceX, has seen a decline in his wealth of over $30 billion due to a 25% drop in Tesla's share price in recent months. Additionally, a court approved the cancellation of Musk's massive Tesla compensation agreement, originally valued at $55.8 billion and reached in 2018.

In contrast, Bezos, who no longer serves as Amazon's CEO, has benefited from the company's rising stock price. Despite selling $8.5 billion in shares recently, he remains the largest shareholder of the ecommerce giant.

Bernard Arnault, the CEO of the luxury group LVMH, retains the third spot on the list of the world's richest individuals, with a net worth of $197 billion.
