NFF Considers Amokachi, Amuneke, and Nsien for Super Eagles Assistant Coach Role

The Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) has shortlisted former Nigeria internationals Daniel Amokachi, Emmanuel Amuneke, and Michael Nsien for the position of assistant coach for the Super Eagles. The NFF is in negotiations with them to determine who will be the most suitable assistant to newly appointed head coach Finidi George.

Amokachi, Amuneke, and Nsien had all applied for the head coach position, but the NFF is now considering them for the assistant coach role to support Finidi George. The NFF is reportedly working on assembling a strong backroom staff for Finidi George.

Both Amokachi and Amuneke have previous experience as assistant coaches for the Super Eagles. Amokachi served as an assistant to late coaches Shaibu Amodu and Stephen Keshi, while Amuneke worked as an assistant coach to Samson Siasia and Augustine Eguavoen.

Nsien, a former Olympic Eagles defender, currently coaches the United States of America U-19 team. His experience and expertise make him a strong contender for the assistant coach position.

The NFF's decision to consider these former internationals demonstrates their commitment to strengthening the coaching staff of the Super Eagles. The final selection will be based on who is best suited to support Finidi George in his role as head coach.
