Meghan Markle Condemns Online Hate and Bullying Towards Women

During a panel at SXSW, Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, joined Brooke Shields, Katie Couric, and Nancy Wang Yuen to discuss the challenges of working in the public eye. Markle expressed her bewilderment at the level of vitriol directed at her, particularly during her pregnancies with Archie and Lilibet.

Markle highlighted the disturbing trend of women attacking other women online, calling it "cruel" and "painful." She expressed her struggle to understand why some individuals would choose to spew hate towards expectant mothers and emphasized the need to protect her children from such negativity.

Despite the abuse she has faced, Markle remains committed to supporting women and encouraged others to be mindful of the impact of their words online. Her remarks underscore the importance of empathy and kindness in online interactions.
