Media personality Morayo Afolabi-Brown has come to the defense of controversial figure Bobrisky, stating that Nigerians have no grounds to criticize Bobrisky for winning the Best Dressed Female award at a recent event in Lagos.
Morayo argued that Bobrisky has not violated any laws by dressing as a woman, noting that while Nigerian law prohibits same-sex relationships, it does not explicitly prohibit cross-dressing.
She explained, "There is no law against cross-dressing; anybody can dress however they want. But the act or the perception of it, a person can be arrested or invited for questioning."
Morayo further highlighted the confusion surrounding Bobrisky's gender identity, stating, "This is a man who is well-protected; he has never been questioned or arrested for his choices. We have not even seen who he is dating because if he is indeed a woman, he should be dating a man."
She emphasized that as long as Bobrisky has not broken any laws, Nigerians should respect his choices and not criticize him for winning a competition that he willingly participated in.
Morayo concluded, "Bobrisky is a Nigerian and should be respected and given that regard regardless of what he decides."
