Niger State Declares Public Holiday for Palliative Distribution



The Niger State government has declared a public holiday from Monday to Friday to facilitate the distribution of palliatives and Ramadan feeding across the state. Governor Mohammed Umar Bago announced the holiday, emphasizing the importance of monitoring and ensuring the efficient distribution of these essential supplies to cushion the economic impact on the people.


According to a statement released by the Commissioner of Information, Honorable Binta Mamman, the holiday will enable civil servants and political office holders to actively participate in the distribution and monitoring process in their respective local government areas. They have been urged to view this task as a call to serve humanity.


The state government's initiative aims to alleviate the economic challenges faced by the people, particularly during the holy month of Ramadan.
