Zimbabwean Workers Take Action Against Unpaid Salaries, Beat Chinese Boss

In a display of frustration over unpaid salaries, Zimbabwean mine workers in Bikita took matters into their own hands, physically confronting their Chinese boss. Videos shared online captured the workers beating up their employer after he failed to pay their wages on time.

The footage shows the workers confronting the Chinese boss, demanding to know why they had not been paid. Despite the boss's dismissive response, stating he is aware of the situation, the workers became increasingly agitated. One worker can be seen double-clapping the boss, while others caution against striking him in the face.

The situation escalates as the workers strip the boss of his shirt and strike him with a belt. At one point, the boss appears to feign unconsciousness, but the workers lift him back up, indicating their determination to resolve the issue.

The incident underscores the challenges faced by workers in Zimbabwe, where delays in salary payments are not uncommon, leading to frustrations boiling over into physical confrontations, as seen in this case.
